HAGA Oud Chip
Our HAGA Oud Chips are totally cleaned by hand with carefulness to every inch for the thickness to be perfectly made. The heat caused by friction between the scraping machine and the chip surface makes the original scent of oud to be lost by burning their oil layers.
On this basis, HAGA Oud Chip is cleaned totally by hand to preserve the original scent; collected from the highly resinous parts of Aquilaria crassna trees grown in HAGA Oud’s 50ha plantation; advantages: quality hand grinding chip + superior aroma than machine grinding; heat from machine grinding could cause evaporating oil resulting to reducing aroma; outstanding handmade process and differences of 1mm, 0.8mm thickness compared to other chip products on the market.
HAGA Oud Chunk
Nowadays, with technical & scientific development, humans can be more active in collecting the precious Oud (Agarwood) Chunks. By using some artificial factors to stimulate the tree to create Oud (Agarwood) Chunk, such as implanting insect nests into the tree trunk, using physical elements to inflict wounds, implant some kinds of chemicals. All these methods are used to create wounds so that the tree must secrete its valuable scented resin to heal itself and then provide humans with the wood that they want.
Vietnam onws a species which was recognized as the best species could be able to form the best quality Oud (Agarwood) Chunk – Aquilaria Crassna. This species is found mostly in the central of Vietnam, in the deepest jungles, inside the oldest Aquilaria Crassna tree, on the wildest lands. This type of HAGA Oud Chunk is formed 100% naturally, without any interference from humans, totally different from the cultivated type.
Through many years of accumulation, Aquilaria Crassna secreted themselves a special kind of resin to heal wounds in their trunk caused by ants, thereby the name. The resin is hardened, laid interleaved by Aquilaria Crassna’s wood grains then forms HAGA Oud Chunk – the inner heartwood inside the tree trunk. Those trunks which are infected and formed Oud (Agarwood) will be harvested, then treated by artisans to clean all the white wood which are not forming Oud (Agarwood) to produce the final product.
