Oud (Agarwood) chunk is formed from wounds inside the Aquilaria crassna tree’s trunk. To heal the wounds, the plant produces a special fragrance resin to cover the wounded areas. Years went by, and the healing aromatic resin hardened and then forms Oud inside which is called Oud (Agarwood) Chunk, which is extremely precious because the average amount of oil veins laid in is super high.

 

I. HAGA SUPER OUD (AGARWOOD) CHUNK

HAGA Super Oud (Agarwood) Chunk includes HAGA Superchunk & HAGA Superchunk type 2. It can be discovered the intoxicating aroma when burning these Oud (Agarwood), a sweet earthy scent. None of these chunks are pretreated or soaked with oils.

The black, light brown Oud (Agarwood) Chunk’s scent is pleasant, soft sweet woody.

2. HAGA Superchunk type 2 – ACKSS2

HAGA Superchunk type 2 is rated only after HAGA Superchunk on the quality scale with a lower price, used for burning to release earthy, strongly sweet, and seductive scent, not sinking. The less white wood remains, the more aromatic the chip is. There are NO chemicals, NO artificial color added in every Oud (Agarwood) Chunk product.

HAGA Super Oud (Agarwood) Chunk Hilt includes HAGA Superchunk Hilt & HAGA Superchunk Hilt type 2. The hilt part broken from Superchunk type 2 has a sweeter scent, hollows are naturally formed inside, and each piece is cleaned totally by hand with very little white wood left.

Nowadays, with technical & scientific development, humans can be more active in collecting the precious Oud (Agarwood) Chunks. By using some artificial factors to stimulate the tree to create Oud (Agarwood) Chunk, such as implanting insect nests into the tree trunk, using physical elements to inflict wounds, implant some kinds of chemicals. All these methods are used to create wounds so that the tree must secrete its valuable scented resin to heal itself and then provide humans with the wood that they want.

1. HAGA Superchunk Hilt – ACKH

This product is 100% Oud (the heartwood of Aquilaria crassna grown in Vietnam), and the hilt is the part which broken from Superchunk type 2 and has a sweeter scent.

From a stable input source of the area of 50ha Aquilaria Crassna plantation, the HAGA Oud plant could operate smoothly with substantial capacity every month. 2. HAGA Superchunk Hilt type 2 – ACKH2

This species is found mostly in the central of Vietnam, in the deepest jungles, inside the oldest Aquilaria Crassna tree, on the wildest lands. This type of HAGA Oud Chunk is formed 100% naturally, without any interference from humans, totally different from the cultivated type.

Through many years of accumulation, Aquilaria Crassna secreted themselves a special kind of resin to heal wounds in their trunk caused by ants, thereby the name. The resin is hardened, laid interleaved by Aquilaria Crassna’s wood grains then forms HAGA Ant wood Oud (Agarwood) Chunk – the inner heartwood inside the tree trunk.
